Innovazione

Technology & Innovation (T&I) is central to our purpose, vision and day-to-day business. As one of the world’s leading providers of advanced materials for a broad range of markets, we are committed to the development and implementation of innovative new solutions that help our customers to address key megatrends and meet the challenges of a fast-changing world.

T&I approach

Our T&I approach is structured around three domains:

Process Innovation: ensuring that Sibelco always employs the most efficient and effective technologies for the exploration, extraction and processing of materials.

Material Innovation: the development and commercialisation of new material solutions beyond our core minerals business.

Business Innovation: creating brand new business models and technology platforms, utilising both internal and external know-how.

We believe that customer centricity is the key to successful innovation. We strive to build close relationships, helping us to gain a deep understanding of our customers’ short, medium and long-term business goals and manufacturing needs.

Sibelco’s innovation community is made up of over 300 people from different business functions, connected via a dedicated web-based innovation portal through which we share ideas, information and resources.

Programma di sviluppo dell'innovazione Sibelco

A strong focus on recruitment in collaboration with key universities has helped us to further expand our knowledge pool. Selected colleagues develop new skills through the two-year Sibelco Innovation Development Program which supports participants in developing and delivering an innovation project.

The new hub (scheduled to open in 2021) will be home to colleagues from multiple disciplines, inspiring daily interaction and cross-functional collaboration within creative workspaces, state-of-the-art laboratories and pilot plant facilities.
